Controller
The Cardax FT-Controller communicates with the Command Centre and amongst each other via a TCP/IP-Protocol. The data transmission features a SSL-encryption.
The following controllers are distinguished:
Cardax FT-Controller 3000/4R with the following base data:
• 4 Cardax readers or 2 Wiegand readers
• 8 balanced inputs (monitored)
• 4 Relay-outputs
• Ethernet-TCP/IP
• RS485-Interface G-Bus – max. 1200 m
• max. 4 Code-operator modules
• max. 8 Trophy FT-Controller (24 zones)
Cardax FT-Controller 3000/8R:
• 8 Cardax readers or 4 Wiegand readers
• 16 balanced inputs (monitored)
• 8 Relay-outputs
• Ethernet-TCP/IP
• RS485-Interface G-Bus – max. 1200 m
• max. 4 Code-operator modules
• max. 8 Trophy FT-Controller (24 zones)
Cardax-readers are directly connected with the Cardax FT 3000-Controllers via a 4-core cable (i.e.: CAT 5) and can be installed with a distance of up to 200 meters. System maintenance costs can be significantly reduced with additional sub-stations.
Cardax FT-Controller 5000/GL
• 8 Cardax-readers via reader-interfaces (URI- or Reader-I/O-interface)
• 4 symmetric inputs (monitored)
• 1 Relay-output
• Ethernet-TCP/IP
• 2 RS485-Interface G-Bus – max. 1200 m (38.4 Kbit/Sec) or
• 1 RS485-Interface G-Bus – max. 1200 m und
• 1 RS485-Interface L-Bus – max. 500 m (187.5 Kbit/Sec)
• max. 4 Code-operator modules
• max. 16 Trophy-FT Controller (48 zones)
The number of inputs and outputs can easily be expanded with the aid of expansion units.
All controllers feature optical tamper protection (both sides of the controller)
Dialler
Cardax is equipped with a dialler for a 3000-Controller and for a 5000-Controller. This dialler is physically fitted and connected to the controller via a RS232-interface. The diallers feature a standard analogue output. With the aid of an optional converter the signal can be converted to an ISDN-signal.
G-Bus Devices
• Remote Arming-Terminal
• Code-operating module for switching alarm zones on and off and the setting of associated functions
• 4 Remote Arming-Terminals per controller
• Soft keys
• 8-Input-expansion card
• Expansion card for 8 balanced inputs
• Input/Output –Expansion card
• Expansion card for 8 balanced inputs and 4 relay-outputs
• High Density Input/Output-expansion card
• Expansion card for 16 balanced inputs and 16 relay-outputs, including optical tamper protection

• 15 balanced inputs
• 5 relay-outputs
• Relay-interface
• 20 relay-outputs
• Strike-Controller
• 6 balanced inputs
• 2 relay-outputs
Readers
Cardax supports the following chip card readers/technologies:
• 125 KHz
• Mifare
• Biometric (fingerprint)
• Nedap long range reader
• Magnet cards
• Wiegand format reader
125 KHz Prox-reader are also available with an IP66-rating
Mifare-reader and Prox Plus-reader have an IP54-rating however, they can be fitted with a cap so that these readers can also have an IP66-rating.
Due to security reasons, Cardax does not use normal Mifare-serial numbers but programs the Cardax-data onto one of the sectors on the Mifare-card.
The data transmission between the card reader and controller is encrypted and is monitored.
